From sketch to final piece
Every line was shaped with intention
Inspired by the organic subtlety of a flower, Petulia was developed through a meticulous digital exploration. Every curve, transition and proportion was shaped by hand, line by line, creating a sculptural silhouette that reveals new qualities from every angle.
Everything has a purpose
Each petal is defined by a distinctive zigzag texture that provides structural rigidity while catching the light to reveal subtle variations across both the exterior and interior of the piece. An internal system of fins connects the petals, enhancing the visual richness of the interior while reinforcing the overall structure.
The heart of the flower
At the centre of the piece, a laser-cut brass disc, crafted in our atelier, allows the cable to emerge naturally from the heart of the flower. A subtle reference to the five-petalled flower many of us drew as children.
